Product Specialist
York Fluid Controls Ltd. is currently seeking
a proven sales specialist to fill a key position.
The ideal applicant would be mechanically minded
and well versed in the application of industrial
pumping and mixing equipment with a specialty
in air operated double diaphragm pumps. The individual
must have experience in industrial processes and
allied systems. Previous experience with industrial
AODD pumps is mandatory. The ideal candidate might
have an engineering or certified engineering technology
degree. This position includes but may not be
limited to the following:

Maintain and grow current well established
territory by introducing new products and technologies
through
existing database, cold-calling and regular on-site sales
calls.

Interpretation and evaluation of customer
requirements to properly select and apply appropriate
pumping,
mixing, control and drive equipment.

To work with the engineering department
to assist in the review of equipment proposals and be
able to
manage project development.

Review of equipment proposals including
both technical and commercial aspects.
-
Review and interpretation of customer
specifications and tender document.
-
Initial prospecting and maintaining a
good relationship with the customer is a positive requirement.

Troubleshoot and offer solutions to problems
stemming from system issues, equipment deficiencies, material
problems, operation, installation and maintenance practices
etc.

Extensive use of popular software such
as ACT, Word, Excel, Outlook, Acrobat and various online
applications
in daily operations.

Provide support as required for inside
sales staff, engineering department and other personnel.

Handle inquires (phone, site visits, fax,
email, etc.) for new equipment, modifications, upgrades,
replacement
parts etc.

Must have a proven successful history
of selling industrial equipment, together with excellent
computer and
communication skills.

Must have extensive experience with air
operated double diaphragm pumps.
